Haven House provides services for children impacted by domestic violence.

Domestic violence can be devastating for children, and often leave them in the crossfire of a dangerous situation. Children who are impacted by domestic violence often experience neglect or are abused themselves. The traumatic effects of abuse can cause:

•    Stress-related physical ailments such as headaches, rashes, ulcers, and autoimmune disorders

•   Developmental learning delays and speech or hearing problems

•    Stress-related behaviors such as a loss of appetite, insomnia, nightmares, stranger anxiety, temper tantrums, and bedwetting

•    Aggression and social withdrawal

At Haven House, our services are designed with your children in mind. Children are welcome at our emergency shelter where they’ll have access to our experienced staff and counselors who provide play, art, and talk-based therapies. We also provide continued support services for you and your children through our support groups and other resources.

We provide victims and children with a variety of support services.
